You are the coach!

You have probably learned how valuable it is to share your knowledge (the K. in P.I.N.K.) with others. It not only helps them, but helps you become aware of what you are doing and why because you are now the coach.

We have a new team member. Here is a comment she made today: "I just did the first workout on the DVD this morning to see how it was. I used a wooden dowel that goes in my sliding door. ;) Okay, so [the workout] was really short, which I LOVE, but I don't think I could have gone longer anyway, my quads were SHAKING!! I had to grip the banister to get downstairs, it was funny. I LOVE IT!" - Beth

You've all been there. What is your advice for her?!

Okay, workout #2 is in the bag! I was nervous because my legs were still sore, but after warming up & stretching I felt way better & was able to get through the workout - Yay!

I was wondering how you all were doing with just working out every other day, and no cardio? I guess I just still have that mind set, that you have to do cardio to lose fat. :0 (Don't worry, Debbie, I am only doing what you tell me to do and NOTHING MORE!) I was just curious how everyone's progress has been.
Thanks,
Beth

Beth - you will love the pain and when it goes away you will think you aren't doing enough in your workouts. You will actually miss it when it goes away!

Debbie - speaking of pain - I don't hurt nearly as bad as I tought I would! My legs don't hurt at all - even after those 90lb squats! My shoulder and upper back muscles are a little stiff but just engough to let me know I did something. I really did love the workout and I would really love to do it again when you have time! It was phenomenal! I highly recommend everybody go if you can make it! If Allison wants company in the car for the ride down on Tuesdays I think Jodi and I are eager volunteers! Thank you again!

Shannon - too early to celebrate. Post again this evening or tomorrow morning and tell me how you feel then! And you actually did 95 lbs!

Mona - sorry you couldn't make it. I'm booked up right now. Hope to catch you another time.

Since we are speaking about pain, I just want to relate how I am without pain. I have had painful heel spurs for the past year. I had a cortisone shot, shoe inserts and bought elevated blocks to stretch the heel and calf but nothing really helped until now. My main source of exercise has always been walking but I had to stop. I believe everything with the PINK program, the nutrition, stretching and exercising, has helped my feet immensely. I really enjoy the PINK workouts three times a week and I have just realized that I have been without heel pain for the past three weeks. I can actually get out of bed in the morning and walk without any pain.

Shannon???? how was last night and this morning's soreness level?

Debbie - I hate to say it but my legs never did get sore. I felt the muscles this morning at our 6 am workout but nothing major. My shoulders and upper back are still a little sore, but nothing unmanagable. I really enjoyed the workout you put me through at the gym. If I get to work out with you again let's step it up a notch and see what I can do! Thank you for a great program! I really do love it and I have entertained the idea of competing! Am I crazy?!

Debbie,
so are you not available in SL any longer?

thanks,
Mona

Shannon - You are a natural athlete - you should definitely consider lifting to compete. It's so fun, rewarding, and motivating! Talk to Allison - she's done so well becoming a competative athlete! And I would love to talk to you more about it anytime - it's my second love!

Mona - I'm so busy it's off the scale. I had a week that allowed a little flexibility but looks like it didn't work out for you. I'm glad you're excited about the program! I hope the morning workouts are a good challenge for you.

I am doing the workout faithfully, I just don't feel like I am doing them properly, when we get together it just goes so fast that I don't think I getting the form right.
Also, my son is doing this with me so I need to make sure I am teaching him correctly too.
Sorry again for missing my chance to meet with you.
